Diy Nail Care Solutions
Diy Nail Care Solutions – You may remember these bottles from the post here, DIY manicure tutorial using my Poshe base coat and Poshe top coat. Since these are new products, I thought I’d share a review.
I like it better than Seche Vite? this is six. Seche Vite makes my mani last for days (my BIL thinks you look homeless with nail polish), but the thick formula can be difficult to work through to the end of the bottle. Poshe’s top coat is thin, which makes it easier to work with, but I don’t think this mani will last as long as Seche Vite. maybe only one day less, but still one day less. (Okay, enough with the rent)

If you are in the market for a base coat or top coat, I highly recommend these. they can be purchased at any Sally’s Beauty store. (p.s. I was also using an Essie top coat which I don’t recommend)

Since we moved to the Rockies, I’ve had some major problems with my cuticles and split ends. oh! I usually get it under control with Vaseline, but I tend to fall off the wagon and forget to use that wonderful cream.
Poshe cuticle care. A lotion with AHAs (alpha-hydroxy acids) that exfoliates and moisturizes your cuticles. Why did it take me so long to realize that I needed AHAs to exfoliate my cuticles?! all the AHA we slapped on our face would go a LONG way across those cuticles. Peeling basically solves every skin care problem. it seems our cuticles would be softer, less prone to splitting and cracking if they were properly exfoliated. THANK YOU Poshe for understanding this.
A little drop goes a long way. plus, it feels like gems on my fingers. I think I had a new idea for a nail design…gotta run. Hey friends, happy Friday! Today I am going to share a short video on how to do nails at home. I’ll be sharing how I use the Orly Builder in a bottle and full coverage tips with Apres Natural Short Stiletto Tips. Many of you have been wondering how I do my nails at home and asking for tips for beginners. I always prep my nails first by pushing back the cuticles, trimming off any dead skin if needed, and then buffing the entire nail bed with a little polish before I begin. And I like to dry my nail beds twice with rubbing alcohol because I have very flat nail beds.
In this video, I show you how to do nails at home, including nail prep, tools to use for gel nails, and more. I hope this tutorial on how to make nails will be useful for beginners.
How To Safely Get Nail Glue Off Of Your Skin
Check out my nail polish workstation! I also customized this desk to add more storage. If you’re interested, I can write a blog post explaining how I DIY’d this table to better suit my needs.
Since I have been asked about my tip size, I wear a size 3 for my thumbs, a size 9 for my pinky, and a size 6 in Apres Natural Short Stiletto Tips for the rest. As I mentioned, I have very small, flat nail beds. My understanding is that natural ends fit better on flat nail beds. If you have a very pronounced C curve to your nails, you may need sculpted tips instead. I originally purchased the Apres Natural Short Stiletto Kit to size my nails. Once I know my size, I will repurchase bags filled with size 3, 6, and 9.
I have only used the Apres tips and have no experience with the others. I love how easy it is to work with Apres.
I tried both Orly Builder in a Bottle and Beetles nail base coat. I usually prefer the Orly Builder in the bottle, but if my nails, usually my thumbs, are stubborn, I use the beetles. They are both great brands.
What I’ve Been Using To Rehabilitate My Nails After Quitting Gel Manicures
I don’t own a ton of gel polish because I love indie nail polish brands like KBShimmer, Baroness X, Cupcake Polish, and ILNP. I have Kiara Sky and Orly gel polishes. I recommend checking out Orly and Kiara Sky gel polishes as they make great colors and formulas.

When it comes to my nails, I’m really bad at leaving nails (those little ones). pieces of torn skin near the cuticles) alone. It’s like forcing me to peel or rip them back instead of waiting until I reach for the cuticle trimmer to cut them off.
Sometimes one of my favorite things about manicures is that they add nail oil at the end of the session to nourish and moisturize the skin around your cuticles to prevent those pesky cuticles and every time I think, “Oh wait, I can do that at home too.” I forgot mine!”
Diy Gel X Nails: Here’s Everything You Need As A Beginner
Clove oil is very easy to make yourself and I added some lavender and rose geranium essential oils because they are anti-inflammatory (which is good for the skin) and geranium has cell rejuvenating properties. Equipment:
Pour 1 tablespoon of sweet almond oil into your nail polish bottle and add a few drops of vitamin E oil. Place the funnel inside and add 4 drops of lavender oil and 4 drops of rose geranium oil.
Screw your cap back on and shake well to mix. To keep your oil effective for the longest time, store your oil in a cupboard or away from light. To apply, run the nail polish brush in a “U” shape around your cuticles with the oil and allow the oil to sit on the surface. leave it on for a few minutes, if possible, before gently rubbing the skin with your fingers. A good way to nourish your cuticles is to apply an oil at the end every time you paint your nails (if you’re like me, maybe 2-3 times a week). By adding this oil to your nail routine, you’ll be less likely to forget this important step, and you’ll thank yourself later by avoiding all those painful nails.
Make a few bottles right away and give them as gifts, or make it your own for a girl’s night out and try a mani/pedi together and a gold star or hologram manicure (you can even go for an oil like this if you’d like). The most common questions I receive from readers are related to hand and nail care. For my nail art posts, I feature a mix of DIY and salon manicures. Finding a good salon and a reliable manicurist can take some time, then professional manicures can take up to 1 hour for a regular manicure, so that extra time is worth it. Since I’ve done so many polish reviews and swatches over the years, I haven’t been able to get regular manicures with the frequency of polish reviews – both in terms of cost and time. I had to learn it on my own, so I followed the techniques of my favorite manicurists and practiced on my own. I’d say a regular salon manicure and pedicure is 100% worth the splurge. Often during the most stressful times in my life, I find that even after work hours, I can’t stop my mind and de-stress. Manicures have helped me stay sane because while someone is working on your hands, you’re free to do anything but fun mindless tasks like reading magazines, listening to music, or watching YouTube videos on your phone. It helped my brain go into standby mode. There’s also something refreshing about freshly manicured fingers or toes that instantly make you feel alive and more put together.
For hand and nail care, I usually stick to a few tried and true products and have been for years. I did my nail and hand care basics back in 2014 (time flies!), but many of you have been asking for an updated post with a tutorial. Finally, I have something to share with you today, and if you compare the posts, you’ll see that not much has changed. A few notes for beginners. If your nails aren’t in the best condition, I recommend getting them professionally cleaned, cuticles trimmed, and polished. A manicure once a month or once a week for a short period of time will help improve its appearance and health
