New Orleans Saints star Alvin Kamara has made it clear what he thinks about the NFL’s decision to add a 17th game to the schedule in 2021.

On Sunday, the league made the change official, following months of speculation that 2021 would be the year they added a game. Kamara took to Twitter to vent his frustrations.

“S–t dumb…as hell,” the Pro Bowl running back tweeted.

Many players, including Kamara, are concerned for their health, as the 16-game season already takes a toll on players’ bodies. Owners were granted the ability to move to a 17-game schedule when the collective bargaining agreement was negotiated last year, but several players voted against it.

The NFL will obviously profit from the decision, and with the new TV deal in place, one would expect the salary cap will fly back up in 2022 after a one-year dip due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Kamara was not the only player who voiced his opposition to the decision. Packers safety Adrian Amos and Saints defensive lineman Cameron Jordan both vented their frustrations on Twitter, as well.

Kamara also screengrabbed a DM from an angry fan who told him to “KISS MY F–KING ASS” for voicing his frustrations, saying, “17 games still dumb. Why he so mad.”
